  5.                                  collapsed and died. She 
  6. was 31 years old. Tests showed that Flo died 
  7. from Marfan syndrome -- a rare condition 
  8. that causes abnormal connective tissue. 
  9. (Connective tissue holds the bodyΓÇÖs organs 
  10. together and gives them shape. Marfan 
  11. syndrome tends to affect very tall people.)

  13. Today, the Women's Sports Foundation
  14. presents the Flo Hyman Award each year to 
  15. an outstanding professional female athlete.
